  1. What is a “Medical Marijuana Consultant”?

    • Good question! This new certification was established by SB5052 (the latest legislation that is destroying medical marijuana in our state).

SB5052 included the following: “Removes medical marijuana retail outlets, adds marijuana retail outlets with medical marijuana endorsements. A medical marijuana consultant certificate is established. Certificate holders must meet education requirements relating to the medical use of marijuana and the laws and rules implementing the recreational and medical systems.”

So, in plain English – this is the state taking away jobs from those who have specialized in medical marijuana knowledge for the past 10+ years, and creating a new certification that recreational stores will have their employees attain in order to give advice & sell “medical” marijuana at the retail stores.
